Weaving Culture: Native American Woven Bags March 5 – May 22, 2011
Kept safe for decades in the History Center’s vault, one of the best collections of Native American woven bags in Minnesota is right here in Winona County. The Winona County Historical Society will exhibit its collection of over 30 beautifully colored and patterned bags. These Native American works of “useful art” have been viewed and admired by curators visiting from other museums, but have never been on exhibit for the public until now!
